A Greener cup for your Coffee
I was reading The Trend in Engineering that UW Engineering dept sent me in the mail...
I came across an article about one of my professors Vipin Kumar and his development of a mircocellular plastic that is 80% air, made of 100% recycled materials(soda pop bottles), is 100% recyclable, and insulates to 350 deg F.
Move over styrofoam!

I love to hear and learn about great things that are be research and created at UW.

The grad students won several business plan competitions and put their winnings back into their research to start their company MicroGREEN.

Cool stuff!

I live for the weekends!
Philip had to work on Saturday, so I was on my own almost the whole day...
After getting all three of us awake, dressed and fed, we went to JonP's Little Gym class, where Jacob and I watched JonP struggle to stay with the group from the other side of the glass window. JonP is always the last to conform with the teacher's instructions and the first to bail out of whatever activity they are doing, but the teacher comes to talk to me everyday after class and tells me how much the little guy is improving. Jacob and I did get to see JonP walk across the balance beam with his fingers bent into his "Spiderman" eyes....
We were brave and headed out to Snohomish with Gab&Djan&theGirls, to the Pumpkin patch. We didn't do the big TODO thing, just the small TODO. We fed some goats, Chickens, and PeaFowl, the kids jumped in the jumping thing, then we picked out our pumpkins. A small one for Jacob, and medium one for JonP and 2 SweetiePies for baking.
We made it back home in time for Daddy to get home from work and then headed out to see Junne & Jason's new digs! Congrats guys! You can build a cute little familie there! ;-)
We spent the evening there watching the kids slide down the stairs in a sleeping bag and play hide & seek.

In the morning, we made it to church, but I was dragging. We went right back home and took a long nap. We finally got to watch The Terminal, which was very good.

I had Monday off, so the boys and I did our morning routine and then went to bother Lola.

I've been having a heck of a time finding enough time for work. It just gets in the way of my boys! Early bedtimes and a louder alarm clock are the remedy for that, unfortunately....

I still want to go see BODIES

Weekend Update
We watched the UW/WASU volleyball match on Friday night. The games were pretty close, but UW won all of them. Probably because Jalen is on the bench because she is still mending from her knee surgery. We had to leave right away because JonP wasn't cooperating, but I heard that Jalen was feeling homesick and wanted to spend more time with the fam. We love you Jalen and we miss you too! Don't worry, Christmas break is right around the corner!

Happy Birthday to my Dad last Saturday. He and my mom had a birthday date at Anthony's, but next time they should go to Ray's Boathouse, because it's better...
We shopped all day for boys clothes and presents, then got to have dinner with the Vida's and Rosque! Welcome home Rosque! We're still gonna get you an umbrella for your welcome home gift!

We had brunch on Sunday for Dad and Mom Tessie. I didn't go overboard, like I usually do. I was just full enough and even got to have my strawberry crepe. We finally found a BIGBOY bed for JonP, so he doesn't have to sleep on a matress on the floor. Thanks to Justin who helped build it! The boys are sleeping in their own room now! Yeah! A full nights sleep without interruption!

OK, I have one more left. It's not really the best for last or anything, but something I used to watch whenever it came on TV.

Michelle Pfifer - Grease 2 - Cool Rider
I just like her little dance at the end of the song...Agnes used to practice that one.

Scenes from Sister Act II
I think we were obsessed with this movie because we went to Catholic school too. Even though we said we hated our uniforms, we didn't...
6th grade - our plaid uniform skirts were in (mine was so long, because my mom wanted it to last a couple years), white ruffle ankle socks and white keds w/out the laces. Amie wore one pink sock and one white and didn't even know till I pointed it out to her (She's color blind)

7th grade - Navy blue pants and Navy blue cardigans(even the stiff ones that came from the unifrom store!) Gab had the cool pants with zippers at the ankles.

8th grade - back to skirts with crisp pleats...I must not have been cool, 'cause I never ironed mine and I wrote with ballpoint pen inside the squares of the plaid. It was the same skirt from 6th grade too! i wonder where it is...

Oh Happy Day
I like this one better than Joyful, Joyful that they play at the end of the movie, because I don't like when Frankaay tries to Rap.

His Eye is on the Sparrow
Lauryn Hill before she was a Fugee! Just beautiful...
