That Woman is a total idiot

OK, Good pick this one is. I can't believe she was selected because she was the best candidate for the job...and I don't even think she's that good looking, people must think so because of all the lipstick she's wearing.

She's reduced Diplomacy to World Powers are Comicbook characters

And here she relates Financial bailout to helping healthcare

Morning commute and work day from hell

Did the guy driving behind me think that by honking at me for yielding at a yield sign, it would make him more on time for wherever he needed To be?

Why did the state patrol pace me when I was going 60?

Why did oncoming traffic turn left when I was going straight?

I guess my commute was a sign of how my work day would go today. It pretty much sucked big time. This is all getting pretty old...
Time to plan a vacation, too bad my husband ran out for this year already.
Perhaps a spa day would do me good

Tired and concerned

Adjusting to Jon's school schedule has been pretty rough. Early bedtime's for the boys make for hectic scramble to eat, do schoolwork and have family time when we get home from work. It doesn't help that we work longer hours for alternate schedule.
It's also been rough on Jon, who is trying to follow rules and listen well, when neither are natural to him. He's a nonconformist and I'm sure he's making that new young teacher earn her money.
We did have a revelation this week, when Philip decided to try out a new arnis instructor on the eastside. This way he will go into work later 2 days a week to go directly from work to class. This gives me childcare @ 5am to fit in a workout! Yeah, I know, it's pretty early, but @ this point I'll take what I can get.
We plan to do the puyallup this weekend and also attend some social gatherings. I hope to find time to relax somewheres in there.

Back to school
We've been consumed with back to school fever. Jonny started Kindergarten last week and we've been trying to get into the swing of things.
We have already joined a committee at school and have started contributing with our volunteer hours.

Jonny seems like he likes school so far. On the first day, he sat in the middle of the classroom and last night at curriculum night we discovered that he had been moved front and center. It makes so much sense, since he is the smallest and the teacher has discovered that his weakness is staying on task and focusing on the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Jacob has also been excited with all this back to school stuff. He saw Jon's classroom and we attended 1st day of school prayer service. He also has the same early bedtime as Jon does. However, sometimes I hear them talking 1 hour after we have put them down. I have no idea what kind of conversations 5 year old and a 2 year old brothers have with eachother...

I'm also getting over the flu. First Jonny got it, then Jacob and Aly, then Arlette and myself. Thank goodness my mom and Philip didn't get it. Well, Philip rarely gets sick, so I'm thankful he was well enough to take care of me. I haven't been that sick in such a long time!

Sorry, I don't have pictures of Jon on first day in his uniform...We used our digi camera and not the camera phone....

Remember to come out and see us at The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival, Next weekend 12th & 13th
