JonP is starting school!
We took Jon to meet his teacher and classmates yesterday. They got to be in the classroom for an hour to explore, while the parents talked to the teachers and met eachother. It was pretty exciting. Jon didn't want to leave, but didn't throw a tantrum. His new teacher gave him a hug goodbye and told him that they'd see eachother next week. He brought Lola a picture home. The first of many!

You may notice that I'm referring to him as JON. This is because his teacher put JON on his cubby. JON has three letters in it and is easier to learn.

He's also changed his answer to "What is your name?". He now responds with all 4 of his names, instead of just Jonny.

Oh boy! Sometimes I can't believe that he's the same person that grew inside me and only weighed 4lbs, just over 4 years ago.

We've been enjoying So You Think You Can Dance They had the finale last week. It was a pretty fun season.

-but did I like it enough to go see them on tour?

So, I don't want summer to end. Next week, Jonny's PreK starts up. Crazy...
Life as we know it is changing again. We're gonna be all busy with school, gymnastics, swimming, birthday parties, etc...

Special note to the sun: Please come visit Seattle again, because you didn't stay long enough...

Road Rage in the Morning
So this guys was driving on my ass up the hill going to my work. The speed limit there is 25 MPH. I was driving the speed limit and noticed he was practically up my ass, so tapped my brake. (Yes, I did a little provoking. Ask my husband, I'm fiesty that way...) The guy on my ass with a nice shiny black lexus, sped up and passed me with enginges reving. I let him pass me and just turned into the parking lot at work. I guess he backed up and followed me, because he ended up trying to play chicken with me in the parking lot. This seemed ridiculous to me, because obviously he wouldn't have hurt his precious car to do any damage to me. After I parked my car, he stopped behind and gave me a mean mug...Not too intimidating, either since he was a techie asian guy. Before I could get out of the car and say, "What the fuck are you gonna do?!" He sped off reving his engine again. (Like that's gonna scare me...my knees are shaking)

So, I think I'll go out on a break and move my car somewhere else, just in case...

-I'm so bad sometimes.

ps. Philip and I went to see Katchafire on Friday and it was sooooo great. I danced and skanked, like I was in a trance. It's been a long time....
AND Jonny and Jacob got to see their cousins on Monday at their Lolo&Lola's house.

Short business trip to El Segundo this week.
I'll be home by tonight.
I had dinner last night with my old friend Henry and his wife and new baby girl, who started work at Boeing a year after I did. Good Times. Their little girl is so much fun. She was walking at 9 months and now very independant at 11 months. She would get along good with Jacob.

I'm sleepy today and waiting to go to lunch, since it was hard sleeping in a lonely bed.
