Family Camping trip
We had beautiful weather this weekend at our family camping spot.
Phil, the boys and I were one of the first families to arrive on Thrusday afternoon, so we had the day and night together. We set up camp, ate and started a fire and soon were ready for bed.

By the morning more family had rolled in during the night and were were joined at our campsite by mom, dad, Jayme, Justin, Arlette, Aly, and Arlette's parents.

It was good company, good food, good times.

We went to visit Lola Pat's beach. (Beach 4) before we went home. Just good to be in all the memories there and making more memories. We took the boys for a walk at the tidepools and saw "Sea Enemies" and Sea Stars and muscles and barnacles. The boys touched them all with sticks and tried to be gentle.

The weekend was pretty wonderful and not long enough.

I got an e-mail from Janet about NKOTB tickets...
We don't watch a lot of mainstream media at our house so I didn't know until I recieved the email.

I used to try to hate New kids, way back when. But their ballads were good and the only songs played to slow dance to during dances. I liked Joey McIntyre's voice before it changed.

So their back...

They performed on Today show...

They kinda mimicked their Arsenio Hall performance...voices aren't too good anymore and they look like they stole their moves from Chris Brown

Link of the week: I wish I had enough time to find a link a day....

Stuff men should know how to do

I guess everyone should know how to do this stuff...When I was young, my dad always made me do stuff on my own, like change a tire, replace a broken window, change out the plumbing under the sink, fix the toilet, etc...
Now I have a husband that can figure out how to do most stuff. (You just have to wait for it to get complete sometimes...)

Just felt like updating...
We've been busy with life. Philip and I with work, Philip with his final design project for his 2nd Eng degree, JonP with school, and Jacob with being 2 years old.

Thursdays are our swimming nights. Jacob had his first swimming class yesterday, a parent has to be in the pool with him. So it was my turn this week. We had lots of fun blowing bubbles and kicking... Jacob's pretty comfortable in the water, anyway.

Jon has been in lessons since the winter. He loves going underwater, but since he's underwater alot he can't hear the teacher's instructions...We saw him swim on his own on his stomach, but when he goes on his back he wraps his legs around the kickboard and thus doesn't practice his kicking. We had an argument over dinner last night, about surfboard and kickboard. He insists that it is a surfboard that he uses at the pool and I insist that it's a kickboard and he should be practicing kicking. He does this wierd kicking... where his knees come up and he doesn't go anywhere.

We're waiting for the sun to come out here in Seattle. It's coming out behind the clouds every couple minutes today, but tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy again.

We actually started working in our yard. We're taking baby steps...There is just sooooo much clean up required. I need some labor to help me out. I'm trying to recruit my little cousins and give them some spending money, for manual labor. I really wish my kids had muscles enough to breakup branches and use a rake. I have to brainstorm and see what they can help with. Everytime they look out into the backyard, they ask if we're putting in a playground....Soon boys, soon. (They are also asking when we're getting a new Dioji, but I know we are not ready yet.)
