ALOHA!
We just got back from Hawaii. We spent a couple days on Oahu, Philip got to reconnect with grade schools friends. His pigeon is back...
We spent time with Ray and also got to visit with Jarlo and Trigger.
We went to see A. Melga and U. Buddy also.
Jonny went surfing with his daddy, too!
It was so busy on Oahu...
We went to Kauai after that. 7 days in a beachfront condo. It was so nice. If we planned it right, we could have just bought supplies and never left the property.

We awoke every morning at 6am to watch the sunrise over the ocean from the balcony. We got to see the most beautiful view from the highest point you can drive too.

Jacob came home with a dark tan. Jonny can kinda swim now. Time for swimming lessons...He got out of the shallow end, ran to the deep end and jumped in by himself. He was able to swim back to the ladder and we caught up to him in time for him to tell us, "It's too deep for me!"
By the third day in the pool, he didn't want us to hold on to him any longer. "Let go of me! I'm going to be a submarine!" Yikes!

We took mom and dad on a Kayak trip and hike on the Waimea river. It was fun watching them argue and seeing my mom steer the kayak from the front. Mom and Philip even took a dip in the waterfall pool.

It was way too short...next time 2 weeks for relaxing. I do admit it is good to be home, but not too exciting being back at work. As I predicted, my work was still waiting for me 568 unread e-mail messages...

Kalaloch
We invited ourselves on Gab&Djan's Camping trip this weekend. It's just what I needed to escape the stress and business of work that has been going on lately.
I told Gab that Kalaloch is one of my favorite places on earth and it's really true...

Junne told me once that when she dies and if she's cremated, she wants some of her ashes scattered at Lola Pat's beach (4). I'm kinda on the same page as her.
It's such a sentimental peaceful place, filled with so many memories.

This trip, we were thinking of Dioji, since camping is when he gets to spend the most time with us. He always enjoyed the drive down, and we would tell him "Dioji, Sit Down!", because he always gets excited looking out the window. Then he would enjoy the beach and being by the fire and just being around us and outside the whole day.

Our boys and their girls had so much fun this weekend. When we got home, Jonny told his Lola, that he wants to go camping with Dani, and Lola and auntie and Popoe and Uncle and Alyjana. We'll plan another trip with the fam for later in the summer. Hopefully, we can reserve a place. Rumor has it that people book 9 months in advance for the summer, but I think they've changed the rules, because Phil still saw openings for last weekend on Friday.

Let's go again!
